Distribution Tanks
DSI have provided a number of large distribution tanks to the water industry. We can in theory offer any size tank limited only by transportation restrictions, however, even this issue can be overcome by offering a split seam solution whereby the tank is fabricated and delivered in sections and bolted together on site. We have recently made use of this method of tank design enabling us to meet the clients needs for a tank of significant size to be delivered and deployed on a waste water site.
We can offer whatever inlet and outlet interface you require wether it be flanges, spigot ends or for the conneaction bauer hoses, we can provide the solution.
For level control within the tank we can fabricate adjustable or fixed weirs, bellmouths or flanges between compartments for the installation of flow control valves.
All tanks are scrutinised at design stage by the latest computer software to aid design and provide the optimum balance between thickness of material, bracings and cost.
Where we are providing a turnkey solution we liaise with our electrical colleagues as to the nature and positioning of any instrumentation within the tank, this enables us to provide integrated mounting points which improves the overall functionality of the tank.
The majority of our tanks are constructed from stainless steel for longevity in service although we can offer a galvanised mild steel alternative should the application be of a more temporary nature. As another alternative we can offer GRP which often proves to be a very cost effective and versatile material to use.
